The Spirit of Earth Day is catching on. People touched by the Green Ribbon Campaign are inspired to create their own projects! With some help from Green Ribbon Staff many inspired ideas have turned into sucessful events.
The first time the McRoberts High School Global Living Club got involved in the Campaign they made an information booth for the Green Ribbon Campaign where they sold cookies with a ribbon. That year they reached their goal of raising enough money to buy an acre of rainforest from the Rainforest Action Network and had money left over to donate to the campaign. Now in their third year supporting the Green Ribbon Campaign, these kids have created a 20 page booklet to show other kids how to start an environmental club in their own school! |

James Hill Elementary School’s grade six class also created their own project to raise money for earth day. With the help of Mrs. Barkley they organized a Hip Hop concert with original dances.
These kids raised over $100 which they donated to the Green Ribbon Campaign. |

The NWPS now visits the school every year to deliver educational programs on the environment to these great kids.
