GREEN RIBBON CAMPAIGN
      It's our nature to conserve

Create a Corporate Action Team

A great way to celebrate Earth Month at work is to make one day a casual day for people that wear a green ribbon.

We can provide you with a sign-up sheet and a box of ribbons to take to your office. All you have to do is encourage everyone to join in. Those people that make a donation will receive a green ribbon and when they wear the green ribbon on Earth Day they can come to work in casual wear.

The donations you will collect can make a real difference to the local environmental organization that will receive your gift and you and your coworkers will develop a feeling of camaraderie by sharing in the opportunity to help others.

Take it up a Notch

Depending on where you work, you can make your action team as active as you like. If you want to take the challenge one step further you could have all participants sign a pledge to do something different that day to help the environment. There are many options for what the pledge could be. A meat-free day can give participants a way to experiment with vegetarian cuisine, which is a more efficient use of farmlands. Another idea could be having a car-free day. Since participants will be in casual clothes why not try cycling to work? Cycling, walking, or taking the bus or train is a great way to get to work without contributing to local smog and global warming. A small action like being car-free for a day can help remind us that we have the power to make a real difference to the environment by making better choices.

Other Options

If you have a group of coworkers that are very excited about Earth Month we can help you create your own project. In the past we different groups have come up with fun and unique ideas for their own fundraising project. If you have an idea send us an email and we will be happy to help you turn your idea into a success story.
